Default Single exhaust tips (pics inside)

I have never been a fan of the oem fake tips, and questioned how much exhaust we breath in our cars. So I started searching for exhaust tips that would fit my 2.75 inch outside diameter JoeZ exhaust. I found the Corsa tips, which come in a 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 inch outlet opening. Since the opening in the bumper is so big, I chose the 4.5 inch. I had no idea if I would like this mod, but I’m happy to report that I think it looks much better and I do not have any exhaust fumes in the car, ever.

The left side pipe is perfectly symmetrical with the bumper opening. The right side pipe is slightly to the right, and probably rubs some. I can’t find any adjustment in it, so I’ll take it to an exhaust shop for correction, unless any of you have some DIY ideas.

if you are happy with the look, thats all that matters. I prefer oem, but i'm glad you were able to find a solution.

It doesn’t echo as much. It sounds like it’s behind the car, instead of in the trunk. The exhaust itself sounds the same, just in a different location.

Thanks. I like it a lot, and have gotten great feedback locally. I figured it wouldn’t be popular amongst the ISF crowd, but that’s ok.

I personalty dislike the stacked round exhaust tips....... Much rather have these bad boys or keep the oval oem shape. Solid look.

I prefer the OEM look, but this does look really good as well.

I always wondered how a single tip exhaust would look running through our rear bumpers. Looks pretty good, but I personally prefer the OEM tip design since no other cars have it.

Doesn't look too bad really. I still prefer the quad tip design but glad to hear it helped your exhaust fumes. I suspected that would help too as I want to go down the same route or have considered adding in HF cats. I just wish there were some decent options for the joez for quad tips that fit the diffusers on the market but doesn't seem like there's any solid evidence they do without modifications.

I do like this look but feel it can only be pulled off with a rear diffuser like your Tom's. The big tips make it work for me as it does fill the space nicely and looks aggressive. Do you happen to have a link or part number for the Corsa tips you used?

You took away the most distinct look of the isf which Is the quad tips ( oem or not ). Now it just looks like a regular ISxx from the back. Not a fan, sorry.

If you can only identify an ISF by the tailpipes, then you should spend some more time around these cars. I’m confident you wouldn’t mistake my car in person .

As to the questions on the part numbers, it’s the Corsa tips with 2.75 inch inlet and 4.5 inch outlet. You can get them from most major distributors of car parts. They are slip fit and can easily be removed after install.

^^^^Don't take the rejection personally We all have things we like and things we don't (different strokes for different folks). As for me, you mod looks OK. Would I do it, probably not

Where our differing tastes really show up is in the category of the wheels we choose. A lot of the stuff I see I really don't like - but I usually keep it to myself

I think I have enough time around my car to make that statement. Take it in the spirit it was intended. The ISF has quad tips and is very identifiable in the rear by that . I just stated a fact. Much like when looking at the side and you see those fender vents is an ISF tell. If you didn’t approve of my comment then maybe you should not post. Maybe just .. moderate? 😀 Peace
