Extend Warranty??

Extend Warranty??
I have a 2012 IS-F which was a Lexus Corporate car and first use was 2015 so I am still in warranty until Nov 2019 or 50k miles. I have the ability to extend it 10 yrs/100k miles from first year of use so I'll be good till 11/2025. Is the F reliable enough or should I extend my warranty with Lexus Platinum to be safe? I was quoted $3,800 from a hook for the extension through a dealer.

My last two Lexus cars I purchased the 2years of expended warranty. Both times Lexus did single repairs that were twice the cost of the warranty. Plus smaller less costly repairs.
So 10 years of peace of mind for a dollar a day seems like a good deal. If you plan on keeping the car that long.

I got the 5/60k extended platinum when I bought mine recently. I plan on keeping it for 5 years and will be covered to 100k. I expect the valley leak, so I'm hoping it happens before 100k. If you plan on keeping it, could be a worthwhile purchase, with the known valley leak, header crack and nav screen all being expensive to repair.....
