Our local Lexus dealership techs were told it’s getting the Supra bmw engine. Apparently Toyota has to use more of those engines than they will sell in the Supra. That’s just what i was told. No proof.

the LS engine is a good choice. It’ll be very tunable compared to the NA engine.

Not, it will leave a desirable prior gen behind you know there's always a demand for high performance naturally aspirated motors+ a well made gear box thats made for performance (subpar dct level), but still way reliable + dd friendly.

If it has the LS turbo, I doubt it will appreciate our cars. Turbos are much easier to get power from and that Aisin 10 speed shifts extremely fast. The torque also comes on much lower, and the car will have way better interior technology.

Sure, some will want the old V8s, but this new one would be nice.

Now if it has the BMW engine, our values will def go up.

Im with you. I’m ok with another V8, but it needs more power than it came with 11 years ago if going with a V8. I think it needs more power regardless.

I love my V8s, but that engine does have 416hp and 440Ft/lbs. The torque would be great to have

Not saying it will up the value but it will definitely leave a place in the market for all motor, look at the e36-e46 they are still sought after even after the new twin turbos same goes for e92 too bad they had engine problems. also isf have weight advantage over the other f series, if they could add turbos and lightweight curbweight that would be awesome!

I hope they announce a new ISF soon. I can't even afford a 2008 unless it has high mileage and I don't want to spend $22k on a 11 year old car.

Even then, current prices may not drop. I just hope to get my hands on one before the boy racers do. So many seem to be in accidents iirc

Dont feel so bad spending the 22k its not a bad car at all as long as you get a well maintained one you should be fine imo its still a great car for the money imho...
