Default Sliding Causing Transmission Problem?

I'm having a weird issue with my 08 IS-F that is very difficult to reproduce

There is a certain turn which 10% of the time, at higher than average speeds, causes my car to go into "limp" mode

No codes are thrown, no lights come on, it's so weird

I want to attribute the problem to the road itself as it's sandy often, but then I would expect VSC light to flash or something, and not the transmission going in to limp home mode?

Any thoughts?

As always the first thing to check and be certain it is correct is the fluid level. I've had the transmission stick in a gear after a hard turn and refuse to shift when in D mode. It will shift by force in M mode, but not in D. So, anytime I suspect the gearbox doing something weird I check the fluid level. It's that sensitive.

That was my first thought too and I am glad you mentioned it too, I will have Vu take a look at it asap

Very sensitive to fluid it seems, you seem to be spot on about the 'not wanting to shift, even in D mode'

I've been experimenting with running about 100 ml (4 ounces) additional after setting the level correctly. It seems to help with this particular issue.
