I'm sitting on a really nice 2011 ISF. Took it to a Lexus dealership and got the 161 point inspection (other than the engine filter, air filter and steering wheel alignment it had a clean bill of health).
Only issue is the rusting on the car.
What do you guys think? How would this affect ownership over the next 8-10 years? How would it affect the resale value? Any response is appreciated fellas.
Looks like its all on the untreated bare metal. thats expected on even newer cars. its just basic chemistry. Hard to fight nature. That being said i don't see it on any structural components so you are good.
People from California are spoiled. My Supra lived in Sacramento for a whole lot of its life, and there's more rust in every one of these IS F pics than there is on my Supra that's turning 26 in just about 8 weeks. I grew up in Iowa. I know how bad it is there. There's a reason I never went back!
