Question How bad is this rust?

How bad do you think is the rust?

I'm sitting on a really nice 2011 ISF. Took it to a Lexus dealership and got the 161 point inspection (other than the engine filter, air filter and steering wheel alignment it had a clean bill of health).
Only issue is the rusting on the car.
What do you guys think? How would this affect ownership over the next 8-10 years? How would it affect the resale value? Any response is appreciated fellas.

Looks like some basic surface rust - my 2011 looks very similar.

The shops that I took it to didn't really specify any preventative measures or how I can clean it up. What do you suggest?

its not their job to do so. there are multitudes of products they will remove surface rust. i.e, never dull, metal polish, steel wool pads etc.

Looks like its all on the untreated bare metal. thats expected on even newer cars. its just basic chemistry. Hard to fight nature. That being said i don't see it on any structural components so you are good.

These pics remind me how lucky I am that I live in the desert. I have no rust anywhere and I have an 08.

If you live in the Midwest or east, just hit a rust check. They spray it with chemicals that inhibit rust. My daily gets that treatment.

my F naps during winter.

People from California are spoiled. My Supra lived in Sacramento for a whole lot of its life, and there's more rust in every one of these IS F pics than there is on my Supra that's turning 26 in just about 8 weeks. I grew up in Iowa. I know how bad it is there. There's a reason I never went back!
