Default catastrophic check engine code?

hi all... i have a 2010 isF with 98k miles.

the car was driving fine yesterday, but today i after i turned it on... the check engine light came on w/ traction control light immediately after the car started .

the car then started to idlea bit rough so i shut it down.
i started it up again to let it warm up. the idle smoothed somewhat and i drove to the local parts store to scan the code. after i scanned it i was getting P1276 and P0368.

both codes are for the cam position sensor and fuel injection.
My question is, can i drive it to the shop in the morning? or are these codes serious enough to where i should get it towed?

the car didnt seem to drive/limp as rough as the initial cold start on the way back from the parts store.

thoughts???

Those two items are relatively close to each other. Any chance a rodent might have got in and chewed the wires?

So i dropped it off at the dealer this morning, and literally they just told me that some type of critter/rodent chewed through the entire engine harness in multiple positions. At first I thought they were trying to bend me over and BS me, then they quoted me at $6100 out the door and quoted 30 hours of labor to replace the harness.

Lobuxracer, has this happened to you before? Because you hit it spot on what the dealership is saying.
It's so bizarre.

I might have to file an insurance claim...this is random.

Tell me about it...the harness itself is around $1200, but they're telling me that they have to pull the motor to install the harness.. so call it 5k in Labor. That critter has expensive taste...bastard is potentially costing me 6k.

Has anyone had experience filing an insurance claim around this? it's so random and bizarre.

You live out in a rural area??..........Sucks man!....

Edit: I think I found out what happened, see quote from article below

Thousands of people who own Toyotas say rodents are eating their car wires and causing thousands of dollars in damage. ... "Toyota incorporates soy- or bio-based ingredients in the wiring ... that bait rodents – including rats, squirrels and other animals," the lawsuit says.Apr 5, 2017

Well looks like the mice in California have good taste. Same thing happened to me last year on my ISF I was quoted 7K. I called up geico and paid my deductible even got a nice rental for a few weeks. The good news is t's been 1 year and about 9k miles and car runs perfect.

If insurance does not cover it, it might be worth figuring out how many wires are cuts from the dealership. If it's just a few and easy to get access to; it might be worth doing some wire soldering yourself or get a good friend who knows. Far better than spending $6K.
