Hello IS F family ,
I’ve been following this forum for a minute now , and now decided is the right time for me to buy an isf . Ive been on a search and found this 2012 near me . It’s a 2012 with 98k Miles one owner with a minor bumper accident for $27k . Is this a decent buy ? Or too high of mileage ? I plan on modding the car and keeping it for a long time . Thank you for your advice .

I wouldn't worry about the mileage. The minor accident and the service history would be more important to me.

Im purchasing a 2009 with 115k miles. rear bumper broken lol. if the minor accident isnt in the history, really the only you can check for is opening the trunk area where the spare. any signs of crimped up metal with primer flaking and bare metal is visible is inidication that the repair wasnt done properly. other wise if it looks good it should be fine.
major signs of rear end collision is where the 2 bolts for the bumper (they are hidden by trunk lid) have a hug gap. if could mean that rear body is pushed in. if you see that. you can typically confirm with that trunk tear down to see where there may be damage as well.
i checked mine out and nothing. guy actually had the camera survelance footage of some random person backing out, hitting the bumper and just leaving. couldnt get plate so he just let it go. not severe, just paint flake and upper tabs on the right side bumper broken. already have bumper on order from dealer. so meh.

Water pump, valley plate and exhaust manifolds are going to be the big ones to look for. If you plan on upgrading headers than exhaust manifold is a non issue. You're also close to the max life on the starter and motor mounts. So if you end up doing headers, replace those while the headers are out. I just rolled over on 70k and my manifolds are crapping out on me. So I plan on doing that within the next year.
Good luck on your purchase! (if you decide to)
