I've been wanting the Model S or the Model X, but I don't have that kind of cash flow... its also convenient that I live 10 minutes away from the Tesla Headquarters and there's super charging and charging stations all over the SF bay area. In reality, the next car I'm getting is an SUV since my family is growing and my parents are getting older so its my turn to chauffeur them around.

all the more reason to keep the F for when you can roll alone. Retire it to weekend status.
I preordered the model 3 a few years back but got a refund earlier this year. Still considering a CPO Model S for daily driving since I work across the street from local supercharger. I wouldn't be getting rid of my F though. But the price to add the Model S to the insurance is quite a bump when paired with my F and S2K. My insurance would nearly double which on top of the large loan amount makes it hard to pull the trigger but I don't know what else I'd even consider for a daily outside of a Tesla that really interest me the slightest. The acceleration is pretty much the biggest appeal along with the features like conditioning of the car remotely and AWD. I couldn't replace my F with it though because I'd miss that V8 growl.
I rented a Model S 85 on Turo when I went to California (ended up being ~100 bucks a day). The gforce from the acceleration was awesome and definitely put a smile on my face, but the steering was not as tight as the F and I missed the roar of the V8. I was happy to come back to the F.
I would highly recommend renting one out for a weekend and seeing how you like it. To me, the Model S was a bit too big, so the Model 3 might be better for me, but it isn't as fast.

Reason: spelling
Before a purchased the ISF two weeks ago, I was debating to wait for a Model 3 or the ISF.
I test drove a Model S before and I must say it is a nice car. Silence, futuristic, powerful, sleeper.
Model 3:
1. Cheaper gas/ electricity to be used as daily
2. Newer technology
3. More space/ cargo
4. Better warranty (have warranty)
why do you say so? I see them all over Indy. Seem to be selling well here.
LOL! I wouldn’t judge based on how many you see in your neighborhood. If you follow the real Tesla news..there’s about 6 different ways that Tesla might die, all very realistic possibilities.
Tesla won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. I'm not a fan of the vehicles, but I think they'll be around for a while.
V.
I agree. Worse case stock might drop and be valued like a car company instead of a tech company but ITS NO GOING ANYWHERE!
I'm still torn. I hav many cars and had few electric cars, BMW i3, Fiat 500e. Love the ISF but he model 3 is tempting. Esp with $7500 federal rebate if i take ownership before 12/31 along with $2500 State. Thats 10k. Could resell and wont loose that much money either.
My 75 yo cousin in Alameda (Norcal) bought a 2017 P 90D Model S after I visited and took her for a ride in my Isf. I got to drive her and her 100 yo aunt to dinner in it, so took it easy until cousin told me floor it as we approached a yellow light. What a freakin' rocketship. Not to mention the complete lack of body roll, the degenerative braking, and the economy of operation. If I lived in the SF Bay Area, I'd seriously consider a dual motor S as a replacement for my Isf.
I'm actually considering augmenting the F with something small, mid-engined, and not a Porsche or Toyota (or Toyota powered). The Tesla Roadster is def. on the want list.
Top gear dogged on the small Tesla roadster pretty hard because the charge does not last long when driving hard. I’m not sure if they corrected that issue.
