Default Exhaust Cutouts

Hello all! I’m new to the forum but just wanted to throw this out there. I am the proud owner of a 2008 Lexus ISF. I just installed some cutouts and noticed there wasn’t much on here about them. So far so good, no power loss and she sounds incredible. Noticed quite a bit of power on the higher end of the power band.

The shop that did it is called The Shop 304 here in Inwood, WV. Hoping to get some pics of wiring later today or this weekend. I have yet to wire them, I’m just looking for the best cleanest way, if anyone has any ideas let me know. The parts on generic so not the best quality but I plan to replace the valve doors with some QTP valves because their wiring harness and motors are a whole lot better than these. The video i’ve got for the sound clip isn’t great but once i’ve got the wiring done i’ll post better clips.

Also, if anyone has any input on estimated hp gains or losses it would be appreciated. Seeing that it bypasses the secondary intakes on, I would figure it would be a decent gain. Then again I’m not sure how much back pressure our cars need.

Hmm. I’m sure there’s a way to do it somehow. Thanks though

As promised! DEFINITELY more to come. It’s a fun thing to have because when I’m sick of the drone I close them back up and it’s back to the silence that is a Lexus v8! Also, messing with people at stop lights! They’re always confused as to how this luxury 4 door sedan transformed into this screaming monster! It’s great. Stay tuned!

Default Wiring Exhaust Cutout

Finally got around to wiring the cutouts, I pulled the carpet up from each floor board and under the insulation there are plugs. Pull them and you’ve got a two inch holes about 7 inches from each exhaust cutout. I ran the wires straight up under the carpet and up into the inside of the shifter console, where they come into a splitter and bored a hole in the front side of the center armrest/console. One wire plugged into the cigarette outlet. I only did this because I plan on changing the wiring harness later and will then hardwore to the battery. This is a super simple and extremely clean temporary way to wire it in. it’s all operated by a remote so there’s never a need to do anything but press a button. If anyone has questions let me know!
