Service records are available through Lexus if you have a Vin. 2010 plus have an LSD and 2012 plus have smoother suspension and are highly sought after. There are much more 2008-09 but they don’t have LSD and much rougher ride (I have read). Good luck in your search. My biggest advice is to be patient.

The cars are really bullet proof. look for the typical body damage issues, overspray, aligned seems. run through the paddle shifters and ensure they are smooth, play in the steering, pulling left or right, and look for road rash on the wheels. maintenance records are a must, and a $250 prepurchase inspection at a lexus dealer would be money well spent. Buy one, you will not regret it. Great Cars in every way. In my opinion I would stay clear of anything that had an aftermarket intake mod. Have seen many cars with dusted rings due to not using the correct air filters.

Why not get another Q50 Red Sport?? Didn't care for the ownership experience?
Just curious

+1 on the maintenance records and pre purchase inspection.
Other than that, if I could do it over, I would get one with LSD. The suspension is a non-issue for me since I would get coilovers to fix the bigger wheel gap up front.

Wow, rare low mileage F there! If in good condition/shape, it's priced fairly! What color combo?
OP, search for the color combo you want, and 2011+ for sure if you have the extra $10 to $20k to spend on a car (over the price of an '08 or '09). Hop on it quick when you find one! They don't last long when up for sale. Good luck!

Fine dust particles slipping through the air filter works like fine sand paper and rounds the edges of the piston rings removing their ability to seal. It happens more in dry dusty climates. I am in Alberta and we have a lot of dust in the air from all the gravel roads around.

Best advice I received and took(after missing out on two sold within days)--when you find one you really want, jump on it immediately.

Also I don't find the ride all that bad in my 2009. So don't write those off, I love the handling. LSD would be nice but thus far I haven't felt at a disadvantage without one since in all honesty this isn't my autocross or track car.

I purchased it to be my daily as I already have a built car for when I really want to have fun (91 MR2 Turbo with a Garrett GTX3067 making 464whp/434wtq and 200whp/200wtq @2800)
