Delete lost key from car
Hello guys,
I am excited to buy a used lexus isf tomorrow, and the owner has a single key.
Is there a way to reset the car key code, so that the second key won't work anymore (in case someone has it)?
Cheers

Went at the service, they connected some kind of computer to the car and removed a key (there were 2 registered).
Btw, is it possible that a key is cloned exactly? So there are 2 keys registered in the car as same one?

You can make up to 3 keys for just about any Lexus
the Security ecu has 3 slots, each FOB has a different registration code that takes up a single slot.
with the tech stream software and usb cable ... marrying a key to the car takes all of 2 minutes.
you can also remove keys that have been bonded to the car, that takes even less time in tech stream.
the only requirement for doing any of it is, you must be able to at least have one working key or have the car able to be in the ON mode.
that .. and the usb cable and the techstream software.
usb cable is like 25$ and you can see a ton of other data and test everything from fuel injectors to pumps, to the ac unit etc.

Thanks for the replies guys!
Do you know if it is possible to change an existing key's code (to reprogram it, so in case there are identical clones to the initial key code they won't work

No, it isn't possible - the code is burned into the key. There is also software available on the dark web to clone a key by receiving the transmitted signal when you press a button to lock the car. I always use the button on the door handle to reduce the opportunity for someone to do this.
