I bought my ISF with painted black tips and now they are starting to chip 2 years and 15K miles later going to powder coat them this time. We have a powder coating booth at my job so if anyone in Socal wants there tips done for cheap hit me up.
I suggest you get the tac welds redone!!! One of my tips fell off when I took them off the bumper! If you have a welder! It's not a hard job to do.
I keep hearing that the tips should be welded but nobody has confirmed where to weld. I marked up the photo below. Are these the only locations where the tips are tac welded? And is this where we can reweld?

Yes this is where you tac weld it back in, do a clean job and should last for a long time!
I dipped mine and it seems to hold up at least for now.
Previous owner of my car had them Cerakote, and has been holding up the 3 years of ownership I've had it. Suppose to withstand over 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
