Default IS F square setup

i am finally about to purchase an ISF. I have the Forged Fsport 19x9 et 40 wheels on my IS350, running a 255/35/19 square setup. I plan to put these wheels on the F and I’m wondering if I can use 275/35/19 square tire set? Car is lowered on Swift springs. Thanks in advance.

I'm at stock height running a square setup with 19x10 +38 wheels with 275/35/19 tires. Front fender liner rubs on hard compression and when reversing... still working on sorting this out (will be melting/bending liner or maybe cutting in the few problem areas). Rears were rubbing pretty bad with stock specs so I had the fenders rolled hoping that would solve the issue. Unfortunately I was still having rubbing issues so I installed aftermarket camber and toe arms as well as LCAs in the rear. Now running -2.5 camber with no rubbing issues (so far) in the rear. Might have been able to get away with less but going to try out -2.5 first and see how that goes for a little bit before tweaking more.

Not really apples to apples comparison since your wheels aren't as wide and you are lowered but you won't find many people running 275 square on this car (I looked...) so thought I'd share my experience anyways.

To answer your question though: yes you can fit them, but you might have to do some minor fender work or add more negative camber. If you are comfortable with that possibility then go for it. If not, then you might want to reconsider staying with the 255s.

Hmmmmm. Any other input? I’m open to another tire size I just want maximum traction with no rubbing. Thanks.

I may just go with staggered sizes, 275/35 rear and 255/35 front. Will those fit with the 40 offset?

Which F-Sport wheels? If they're the first gen, you'll need a spacer on the rear to clear the calipers.

what are the first gen? I don’t have the dark ones, I have the polished ones. I ordered some 275/30/19. If they fit well, my next set will be 35 series.

Default 275/30/19 square

No idea how you guys are running 275/35 if you are lowered. I have moderate offset and this barely fits. 1/8 inch or less of clearance at full compression. I actually taped it to see if any rubs off this week during spirited driving. It looks great though IMO.

In a performance tire. I would NEVER run different brands of tires front and rear. Max Performance Summer tires from different mfgs. may have differing handling characteristics and could get you into trouble. I would never take that chance.

Are you running 19x9s all around? Or are fronts 19x8 like the factory package comes?
Thanks

19x9 all around. Fits extremely well. Close to flush, but tucks.

Hi all. Just purchased a set of Weds wheels 18x9.5 ET45 and was going for a square setup of 275/35/18.

Unfortunately, the semi-slicks I bought and put on seem way wider than the Michelin PS4S I was running on my stock wheels in the back. Distance between the tire (the wheel is fine at ~6 mm, what everyone reports) is like 1-2 mm which concerns me. Pic below ->>>

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Anyone running 275 semis at the front with such a close gap? I'm worried it might touch the control arm in the middle of a corner. Thanks!

I don’t have a measurement, but mine is pretty snug up there as well. I’ve had the wheels off and see no signs of rubbing. What tires did you get?
