Default PPE Headers & RR Racing Intake

Hi everyone, I just received the PPE headers, and the RR racing intake, from RR Racing (Simon) very nice to deal with, and very fast shipment. Should be FOB after installation ( already have the Tune, and Borla Catback on the car), anyone here has the same setup? if you do what intake elbow are you using ?as i purchased the CF RR Racing elbow {HPS doesn't fit and i'm selling it}, also if anyone with the same setup did a Dyno? Thanks!

My setup is the same other than exhaust, which is xforce with muffler delete. I'm also using the carbon fiber intake from RR. Everything works great the additional power from the headers is amazing!! I Dynoed before with rr intake/tune and stock exhaust, Made 371wrhp and 350tq. Haven't had the chance to redyno yet but the difference sure feels like alot enjoy the new setup!

Hi
I am full FBO. I have PPE headers, JoeZ Exhaust, RRracing Tune, RRracing Tune Intake, and RRracing CF intake elbow. Here is my current setup. Very similar to your setup. I have dynoed at 417whp before the tuned intake. After the tuned intake I dynoed at 407whp. I lost 10 whp but I dynoed at a different shop. I am planning to redyno at the same shop I got 417whp before the tuned intake and see if I get the same numbers with the tuned intake. I can keep you informed of my results.

Even though I lost 10whp, I feel more power gains in mid-rpm. Smoother acceleration. I will redyno on June 16th to recheck on my whp gains.

I have similar set up PPE Jet hot coated headers, JoeZ exhaust & intake along with RRRacing Tune and Tuned intake system with RRRacing AOS. Regarding dynoing your car there's so many variables weather condition, type of dyno, dyno operator etc. For me better measure to see how well mods are performing is to take it to track whether it be 1/4mil, Road course, 1/2mil, 1mil, Autocross any timed event. If you see better times then everything is working. The RRR Tune will give you things you can't feel on dyno, like that mid range punch as well as bit better bottom end. The way it shifts especially if you increase RPM like I did to 7200rpm Redline, that little 400rpm makes difference. Take the car out driving see how it feels don't worry so much about Dyno numbers.

Did some fabrication so you can see RRRacing carbon fiber intake cover unobstructed.

Does anyone notice what's on the AOS?

I totally agree. It does perform better and that's what counts. Can't get enough of the F sign. Lol.

Nice! Makes it looks like an OEM part.

Is the extra RPM increase actually giving the vehicle a longer power band?

Since the torque converter unlocks at 6800 RPM, I believe it shifts much slower higher in revs, correct?

If I remember Rafi correctly from the Tune thread was that yes the converter unlocks at 6800 per stock programming, but the increased free spinning revs to 7200 rpm allow the next shift point to be higher in the power band for the next gear change..............hope that makes sense..................for a verbatim quote check out the tune thread where that was discussed.
