Default Drop (leak) down test (nitrous user)

2011 ISF with nitrous and 35,000km. I have been running nitrous for 4 years now and 2 years of spraying from launch. I had lexus do a drop down test to get an idea if I am doing any damage to the car at all....

Cyl 1,3,4,5,6 are all 2%
Cyl 2 is 5%
Cyl 7,8 is 3%

I blew a spark plug in Cyl 2 and it had to be replaced so I had them so the test for fun. The piece of spark plug may have gone down and scratched a side wall (possibly). So maybe that's why Cyl 2 is 5%?

Seems she is holding up well to the abuse I am putting her through.

1-5% on engines in Great condition
5-10% is Good condition
10-15% is some wear and tear
15-20% is you need to tear it down and replace.

😎😎😎

Just some good info for us nitrous users! Keep going hard!!!

With the 150 shot I think you should think about running a colder plug just to not melt the plug like you previously did.

Will be her car, but I'll still take it to the track. I doubt she would ever use it, but she does drive the car FBO right now and prefers the power over her Mercedes.

Those are great numbers!
Are you just running their recommended jet settings to get a 150 shot?
I have Nitrous express myself, but I haven't been able to find a place that has nitrous.. Closest place that I've found was a shop in Las Vegas, thats about 7 hours from me (Reno Nevada)
How many Lbs of nitrous have you gone through in those 2 years if you had to guess?
What progressive controller are you using?

Nice. ISF with 500whp is how it should be! 150 shot has to be wet, but i agree you want a step colder plug unless your using the SAFE cell from NX and are running e85/racegas. Still better safe than sorry. Careful injecting when in low rpms high gears, could **** the trans. Just like a turbo, dont lug the trans with the engine power, it wont handle it.

Me neither. Leak down all the time, never "drop" down. I've done a few of them myself over the years.

FWIW, I rebuild at 10%. IMHO that's really bad. I would expect oil consumption at 20% to be close to fuel consumption...

Nos progressive controller, wet 150 on all the recommended settings from nitrous express. I've gone through well over 150-200lbs of nitrous in my time.

i feel that up until 10% or so, I am fine to push her as hard as possible. After that I will back off and not spray right from idle. I am pretty satisfied with the results after pushing this engine to the limits since the day I bought it.
