Default Will this be stinky?

Still going back and forth on Joe Z vs Borla, but my question is will both give me a strong gas smell? This is my daily, and I routinely sit in Atlanta Traffic, so I don't want to smell like I'm on a riding lawnmower. My only other mod is the Joe Z intake. Also, will this cause me to fail emissions? What I've read so far is that as long as the primary cats are on there shouldn't be an issue. If that's the case are people putting the high flow cats on in place of the primaries?

No. I still have my primaries and there are no issues. You'll be fine in traffic and with emissions

With the primary cars still on I don't see the car having a really strong exhaust smell

No, while my first modification to the car was JoeZ exhaust I did not experience a gas smell at all. Now one I installed headers (catless) that's a different story. I purchased some hi flow cats I just need to make time to have them installed. I suggest you select the Hi flow option at the time you buy your headers if you ever do.

i have the straight pipe Borla with Bazooka tips, i get almost zero smell even right by the exhaust. On cold starts it will smell slightly for the first minute and thats about it.

I have PPE Headers along with PPE dual mode exhaust. I also have hi-flow cats. No smell or noxious fumes. Having or not having catalytic converters is a personal choice. And as I have stated in previous posts, I believe in climate change, unlike Mr. Trump, and am a firm believer in having cats in any exhaust system. Don't think we need all four that Lexus installs, but a set of well designed HiFlows IMHO, is the right thing to do.
