Angry Lease-end question

Hi guys,

I was involved in a minor accident this weekend. I ran a red light by accident (thought it changed to green) and got hit by a truck. It's very minor. The truck driver didn't have any damage and agreed not to call 911. I however have a cracked bumper. I decided not to get insurance involved since I have a $1000 deductible. I got a few quotes and the cheapest one is around $1050 to get the bumper replaced/painted/installed. I was wondering if I can return the car in this condition since Lexus forgives up to $500 in damages and pay the rest to have Lexus fix the bumper. Appreciate the help!

You might have it quoted at the cheapest place for 1050, but lexus uses their certified repair shops and will be guaranteed higher.

Quite sure Lexus will access it as $2k+ worth of damage, leaving you footing a $1500+ bill. They'll always be on the higher side quotes/repair wise.
I say get a few more quotes and go with the cheapest. But honestly, $1k isn't bad for a new bumper, painted, and installed....I'd call that getting off cheap and dodging the bullet for running a red light....!
Good luck and stay safe!

Lexus financial does not forgive any excessive damage. You have an acceptable wear and tear part in your lease agreement. Any damage beyond that is billed.

How about you buy a used bumper then ask auto body shop to paint it, and take it home install it by yourself?
(Are you sure your F is 2015 )

He most likely missed the "sport" in F-Sport IS350

FWIW I got a new rear bumper on my ISF for ~$1400. Some idiot rear ended me and pressure cracked it pretty good. It was at like .000005MPH (pathfinder) so not too much damage. Although I have a good body shop -- this guy sold me a windshield at cost so I could get an OEM replacement (~$400 cheaper than the glass companies would sell it to me for). Then we paid the glass co $100 to install it. lol. He still made a $100 profit and I got OEM instead of aftermarket.
