Hi,

I noticed my 2012 IS-F driver's seat does not sit as low as the passenger's seat. I'm only 5'8 and I find that there is a lack of head room. I have never sat in any other ISF and I was wondering is it normal for the driver's seat to sit higher than the passenger's seat at the lowest setting? Thanks.

There's an adjustment to lower the seat. Push the bar down if you haven't.
I'm 6'0 and i still have an inch or so at the lowest setting, and I don't lean back much either.

Are you sure you don't have something stuck under the seat preventing it from lower than it should.

Yeah, I was using the side controls on the seat. I want to say I have less than an inch! Which doesn't make sense at all. Okay, definitely something is odd with my seat.

I checked, there was nothing under the seat. So the passenger and driver seat should be at the same level when it is fully adjusted down?

I'm 6'2" with a 33" inseam. Long in the torso. I fit just fine with the seat fully lowered, and only need to lean back a little to accommodate a helmet at the track.

I do wish there was a way to lower the seat more as well (although you may have a different issue). In my Infiniti there was a way to loosen a bolt under the seat and force the seat to go lower than factory setting-that extra inch or so made a world of difference for seating position. Seems as though a lot of current cars have seats that can adjust super low, almost unreasonably low. Sadly ours do not.

I'm the same height as you and have plenty of headroom, even with a helmet. There's definitely something going on. Time to take it in to the dealership. Especially, if you notice the passenger side being able to go lower.
