You reset a whole lot more than KCLV when you yank the power on your ECM. ST and LT fuel trims also get zeroed out and start over. Depending on a whole lot of things, this can have a far larger impact than learned knock values.
How many miles did you have when you changed plugs? Did they look bad?
I change them at 8,000 miles, not because of the miles but for the car is six years and i was almost sure pervious owner did not change them. When i took them out they did not look that bad.
Something that called my attention today while doing some test is that i felt the car faster if when doing shifts in manual i waited a little bit longer when the shift sound beeps instead of doing it as soon as it beeps. in other words.... let it beep a little longer so revs are almost at the exact redline. I think if you do it as soon as you hear the shift beep its too early and you are loosing some RPMs and power. But you have to be careful not to pass the redline or you will loose time.
its just a theory, i need to do some test at the track with timing.
155 lbs. I deep staged only that time and it was not on purpose.
Interesting. The 60' times are definitely suffering on your car pretty bad, do you have any of other split times from your passes?

Unless he weighs 1000lbs, I'm pretty sure it's not going to cost him a second in the 1/4.
This is a valid question, every 100lbs is worth roughly .1 of a second. When attempting to compare two cars this has to be taken in to account, especially when your trying to do this over the internet. Trying to compare to identical cars, one with a 155lbs driver and the other with a 355 driver there is going to be a pretty significant difference.
The next question would be the density altitude during the event.
I'm more interested in the IS-F with only 8,500 miles on it! Where did you find it?
im down in Panama (central america) and its really a small city, for instance to drive from the pacific ocean to the atlantic since it is only 50 miles. Additionally the previous owner used it as a second car using it every other sunday until i bought it in last september with 7,500 miles. Another example that you do low miles in Panama is my other car.... a 06 IS350 that currently have only with 59k miles
