Default Isf first gear jerk

Hi guys. Recently I noticed that upon cold start driving in auto, when shifting out of first gear the car jerks forward a little bit. This does not happen when the car is warmed up, anyone know what this issue may be or if its something normal?

Gotta give the fluids time to get up to temp. The F takes quite awhile to warm up to operating temp.

Like everyone mentioned above with the addition of common symptoms of being low on transmission oil. You should start digging some of those threads and make the best possible evaluation. From what I read, it isn't too expensive. Rather, the procedure is more critical in order to successfully get rid of those symptoms. Good luck!

WoW, me too!
My first gear is a jerk too Wantedisf! Why just last week I caught it smoking the rear tires. I'm like dude; you're going to get me in trouble! I mean, really, jerk! I'm just using second for now on! First definitely has issues!

Fluid level is low. These gearboxes are very sensitive to fluid level and it drops over time even if it doesn't leak.

+1, Same here. I usually slowly press the gas as I ease away from the house giving it time for it to warm up. Usually it's gone after a block or two of driving.

Same issue. When I go the level right in mine, this stopped completely.

Can you clarify what this means for a new owner? Is it as simple as pouring in more trans fluid or is this a more involved process?

Much more complicated process, there's a big thread up at the top on how to do it but chances are you'll have to get a dealer to do it.
