which intakes do you guys prefer? HPS, TAKEDA, JOEZ.... ive been reading a lot about it, people been saying theres an hp loss on the takeda, i was leaning on that at first. joez is cool too, hard to order. so what about HPS?

I bought a Joe Z to eliminate the stock accordian hose, but if I were to do it again, I'd go HPS for 2 reasons:

1) 2 less hose clamps.

2) Least chance of heat soak.

Went with RR - either with intake or without - eliminates the breather system into the intake.

My Joe-z got smoking hot, couldn't even touch it, and the nipples didn't have any flares on them to prevent the hose from being pulled off easily. Perhaps I'm being picky but HPS has always seemed like a great choice.

I wrapped my Joe Z in heat tape to eliminate this. NEVER had an issue with the nipple slipping off, but I had the same thought. I just upgraded to the RR-Racing tuned intake / elbow / aos, I'll have to drive it some to give an impression.

DON'T get the Takeda, it ends up losing power. I made more on the stock box with Joe Z.

^^^^I don't believe I lost power with it. But, I never dynode pre Takeda. Post Takeda with all bolt-ons (and hi flow cats) I got 393 RWHP. Also, the filter has been improved. It's now an AFE wet filter and the top portion is no longer flat, but includes an inverted cone with filter media. I replaced my filter a couple of weeks ago.

I have the HPS and have no complaints about it. The RR-Racing intakes are great intakes also.

Let me know if you want a quote on an intake since you're local to me !

I had joe z and hps. I went with hps to prevent it from heat soaking and also have a toms drop in filter. i would stick with stock unless you have headers and exhaust coming.

My exact same setup.. Until I go full RR-Racing intake box and intake tube.
