Anyone perform and independent dyno between the JoeZ intake pipe w/ Tom's Filter and the AFE/Takeda yet?

I have a dyno appointment 4/7/12. I'm going to get a baseline, iCode silicone pipe w/AFE filter and Takada intake. I'll post the results.
I can't believe this thread has gone this long with no results.

You should have asked, I have one I used for testing sitting here collecting dust. Only used for dyno testing.

My dyno day had been pushed up a week. I'm going tomorrow at 12:00. I put my stock intake and filter back in tonight then reset the ECU. I'll have results tomorrow night.

Wondering why it has been necked down just before the cover and filter?

Surely that has to be restrictive or is there something special this needs to work with and hence is essential?

^^^^It's my understanding that it's necked down to keep the MAF and the ECU happy. All aftermarket intakes, as far as I know, keep the same tube OD as the stock intake tube, where the MAF is plugged into the tube. The lone exception was SRT, who tried an electronic solution that did not work very well.

I also know of at least one manufacturer who is working on an intake that will avoid that step down utilizing an electronic solution. We'll see how that works out.

Bringing this thread back from the dead to update.

I've had my Takeda for 6 years now, and replaced the filter yesterday.

The new filter is not dry, It is AFE's new oiled cotton gauze filter. Described by AFE as:

With five layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media between 100% polyurethane top and base, this high flow “oiled” inverted conical performance filter provides excellent airflow for maximum horsepower and torque. Washable and reusable for multiple cleanings, the tall, open, evenly spaced pleats provide excellent dust holding capacity for longer service cycle between cleanings. Pliable polyurethane flange with integrated bumps insures tight, no leak seal over the life of the filter.
Also, unlike my original dry filter which had a flat top, this filter has an inverted filter media in the top section which would allow more air flow.
