HELP. Car is completely dead
Check your terminal cables and make sure they are all clean and tight. I had an issue like this too back in the days when I still had my MKIII supra. It turned out to be corrosion, lose ground terminal, and my battery wasn't holding charge anymore.
Definitely check terminal cables. I had similar situation. My car had completely died mid startup, to the point where the RPM needle was still stuck in the middle of the gauge. Nothing would work, not even the truck button... Ended up being that my positive and negative terminals were severely corroded. Once that was cleaned, and car was jumped, no more problems. So now I just make it a habit to routinely clean my terminals.
