Should be fine. 
Changed mine for a badgeless carbon version. The cruise control sensor isn't connected to the grill.
If you look behind the grill, you'll see the little black box.

Wait Wait Wait.....I have the same issue and I remember I asked the same question like 2 years back and was told I couldn't replace the front Emblem because I have the cruise control/PCS system thingy

I have the same setup as you with the active cruise control etc, but now use a badge-less carbon grill.

No reason why you can't do the same, or something else without the big 'L' badge!

No, I heard similar things when I was looking to change mine.
Took the chance and ordered it regardless. Fortunately my body guy and I were able to swap them over without any issues.
Just look behind your current grill. You'll see there are no wires or connections attached.
As I said, I'm going off my own car which has a badgeless carbon grill fitted with no issues regarding my active cruise control etc.
