Default Car originally from Guam

Good Afternoon,

Has anyone dealt with a vehicle that originally came from Guam and then imported to California? How does the warranty work and what was your experience? Can you still purchase lexus extended warranty? Thanks

Just wondering, how is this deal cost effective (shipping + etc)?
I think that if the car wasn't for the US market, you will have difficulties registering it.

Hey Msgs,

The car is actually already in United States now. The car was originally sold in Guam and then the previous owner had it shipped over to California a couple years ago. I think registering it isn't a problem because it's being sold at a dealer. I just wanted to know if anyone had experience with buying extended warranty or any other issues they may have come across.

I just replied to your PM but you will have no problems registering it or buying an extended warranty granted the vehicle is still under factory warranty. Be sure to get the zero deduction platinum extended warranty. They may try to sell you some other third party warranty but do not fall for it. I brought my 2009 IS 350 here from Guam and Lexus San Diego took care of it as if I bought it from them. Only issue is the VIN# will not appear on the Lexus website. I called corporate and they don't recognize it as a U.S. car. Other than that, no issues anywhere else unless you try to sell to a private party because there will be no maintenance records unless they retrieve it from Lexus Guam. Hit me up if you have any other questions because I don't know of any other CL member who has shipped a vehicle from Guam.
