Default Replace 2nd cat or Remove

Hi everyone,

My secondary cats are finished on my 09 isf and im looking to get some feed back as to if i should replace them or just cut them out? Currently i do have muffler delete and i wouldnt mind the extra noise from cat delete but i want to avoid check engines...

Thanks in advance

You won't get any CELs from removing the secondary cats. Most all of the aftermarket cat back exhaust systems (i.e. Joe Z, Borla) remove the secondary cats anyways. So I say go for it!

Remove! Our car is already under the gas tax and is supprisingly a "low emission" vehicle, I don't see how removing the secondary cats will be a problem unless your local laws just state not to be removed (I know federal law states..) in fortunate to live in none inspection state and non emissions testing area, kinda like Tom petty but "free flowin" haha

Awesome! Will definetly be removing them in that case. My question now is, if the secondary cats dont cause check engines why do i keep getting. P0157 & P0420... Is the issue with my primary cats and o2 sensor?

The primary cats have O2 sensors before and after. If those codes are for bank 2, I believe that is the secondaries on the very front end of your mid pipe.
