RCF video review
Just got done watching this video review on the RCF and thought to myself it was the first review of the RCF that wasn't comparing the car to the M3/M4/CTS-V etc...... The video is long at 39 min but honestly it's so well put together and I learned more than I thought I would about the RCF So I thought I'd post it here if any guys are curious about the RCF and for the few here who are considering trading in their ISF for a RCF this video will be a huge help. If you guys have the time it's a great video to watch

I mean, it's heavier and slower 0-60 and 1/4 and on the track it's slower than the 11+ ISF. You also lose 2 doors.
You do gain some cool "tech" and nice interior but it's offset by the goofy overdone boy racer looks.
From an IS-F if I needed a 2 door coupe, I would be looking at an M4, GT-R, GT350-R, or ATS-V. Those cars are true worthy upgrades.

I see the RCF more as a side-grade to the ISF than anything.

I have spoken to several ISF to RCF owners and none of them say their RCF seems slower than their respective ISFs.
ISF (with exhaust) vs stock RCF
ISF vs RCF test (RCF wins the drag race at 1:09)

I have to agree that new technology and interior are fantastic. On performance side yes there have been improvements different sport settings, great breaks, cool aero wing that comes up over 50pmh, carbon fiber package, torque vectoring diff which is nice to have on track but not much use on street driving on the the highway. I'd save the money on diff and up grade my suspension or ceramic rotors instead.
I just can't see trading in my 2011 ISF then drop another 40k to have a car thats just slightly better performance wise in certain areas. The videos you posted showing RCF against ISF , have too many variables, I liked to see these types of run done with two equally prepared cars not to say that they weren't but you just don't know. When doing these comparison you have to consider skill level of drivers , tire condition, what tires were on both , was 08 still on his factory 7yr old suspension etc.
I do concede that RCF indeed my be faster, more agile on track but not buy much. Unlike e90 M3 vs new M4, the new M4 just destroys M3. Now that solid reason to upgrade. With just few few thousand you can up grade ISF to be faster and handle just as good or even better than RCF.
I already have headers and full exhaust, new brembo rotors project mupads. Now upgrade to a quality set of coilovers, silky swaybar, fig control arms, and RR Racing USRS . I end up with car that can surpass RCF. Now once all the mods are out for RCF it may then beat my modded ISF but once again not by much. I think that's why sales numbers of RCF have been poor. For most ISF drivers, the RCF doesn't over that massive leap foward in performance over ISF. That why you have seen a mass Exodus of ISF owner trading in there ISF for one.when they leave ISF there movies get on to GTR, Porsche, some of new muscle GT350 Mustang, Vettes etc.
It's still great car I love looks of it, the tech, but to me it's 80% out of 100% of what it could have been. Lexus just to conservative. What I find interesting is while many reviews of RCF have been so so hit or miss the GSF has been well received the only complaint is lack of power, but other than that great balance, handling, ride etc. Who would thought that GSF would get better reviews than RCF.

I'm going to go out on a very short limb here and guess that most ISF owners would much prefer to purchase a next-Gen ISF (if one were to exist) over an RCF. While there will certainly be a few people who will want whatever "F" version is the newest, I sincerely doubt that Lexus was targeting current ISF owners with the production of the RCF. They were targeting new buyers to the F brand.
I sold my ISF for a more "pure" sports car, but if I were to return to an F, I'd be looking at something with 4 doors and a little more practicality. The GSF, even though it is bigger and probably slower than the RCF, would be my choice.

This is a great review, even with the subtitles. RCF is an evolution . Not a revolution. Im keeping my ISF until I can pick up a GSF in a few years or pay off the F and buy another LS.

to the dude who is saying the ISF is faster than a RCF, pass on what you are smoking please.
Me and my friend both raced a ISF (full bolt ons)
I have a exhaust only and my friend was stock and we both ate the ISF badly.
