Just like the tittle says. My 2011 ISF with 56k miles on it is making a Clunking noise when pulling out of a parking spot or just anytime I fully steer to the left side and begin to move. If I try it in reverse it doesnt matter if I turn the steering wheel fully to left or right it makes the same noise as I begin to move at slow speed. It almost feels like something is pushing the front wheels out. During normal driving I dont feel anything at all, just as steady as solid the car can be.
Any ideas, I bet this is not normal. Is there any common issues with ISF with premature wear of ball joints, cv joint, sway bar bushings or hub bearing?
Thanks in advance.

Mine does this too and you can "feel" it exactly when you hear it. Happens exactly as described above. I figured it was something normal as my car too is rock solid, but now I'm curious.
I'm gonna have it check at the dealership since its still under warranty just for curiosity. Hooefully they dont charge me just to have the car checked as I assume structural suspension components (except shocks) are part of the powertrain warranty.
But I dont know I only had this car for 3 days so I'm pretty new to this world....love the car so far

Its your front tires scrubbbing (usually because they are worn)...replace the tires and the clunking notchy shudder will disappear.

Affirmative. The tires are almost down the the safety marks on the thread. It would suck if I have to get new tires to a car I bought less than a week ago..... i guess this is how it works with used cars.

I get the same thing when they are toasted. Even the back will do a little slip when I make a really sharp low speed right turn . I need new wider tires Originally Posted by digger08

UPDATE: My tire pressures were all at about 30 psi +/- 2psi so I took them all right to 40psi. It got much better but it still does the noise.

Normal. Happens to me every day I back full turn out of my driveway. I wonder if the RR LCA bushing would help here.

i bought some used michelin pss tires and at 1st it was fine but after some miles it started doing the same thing, i google that and a thread from club lexus came up saying that wider tires would make the car not make contact when making a full turn but it could just be the worn tires

Like someone else said it went away when I got new tires, the new tires were wider as well so I'm not sure if width causes the noise. If the "feel" you guys are taking about is the loose steering in reverse then I still have that, although i suspect it is normal.
