Default 1/4 mile track issues

hello everyone. new to the forum nut not new to the racing scene.
having issues with my 2011 isf at the track 1/4 runs best time so far is 12.9
maybe im doing something wrong I tried so many different ways of launching sport mode manual mode auto mode....

so I have a 2011 isf 46k mods are injen intake and sikyy headers.. stock exhaust..

1st time at track full interior 1/4 tank gas
1st pass burnout out of water box tires were bald sport mode full auto gas and brake launchin at 1700rpm car went 13.3 at 109mph traction on
2nd pass same thing gas and brake launched at 1500rpm auto 13.3 traction on

second time at he track new tires continental 255/40/19 runflats 1/4 tank gas full interior
1st pass burnout out of water box launched at 2k brake and gas paddle shifted this time in sport mode traction on 13.1 109
2nd pass same thing 13.1

3rd time at track spare tire left it at home was on there with gas light but have 245/40/18 m/h drag radials
1st pass tire 25psi burn out after going through the water launched at 2k with traction on sport mode paddle shifted 12.9 at 109
2nd pass same thing psi at 14 burn out through the water 13.1 109
3rd pass temp dropped to maybe 75 degrees tire psi 10 burn out no water 13.0 at 110pmh

haven't went again I been hearing I shouldn't launch just gas rite off the line psi at 25 but do a full 1st 2nd and 3rd gear burn out not just in first... and I should be inb the mid to low 12.s now all the weather was in the high 80's and the drive to the track oprob heat soaked the motor .. anyone can help me on some pointers.. like 1 is te stock exhaust holding me back??? is the launching killing my times??? is the psi too low show I stick with them at 25/30ish psi??? thank you

see the drag racing section for all the info you need. it has great detailed experiences. I would get rid of the injen. you should be in the low 12's and good luck.

I had issues before too. Make sure the track is well prepped and check the DA.

Sorry, from reading your post, you tried a lot and could not hook up. I too did something like that and was not happy with my 1/4 mile and 60 ft times until I checked the DA. With corrected DA times, it was lot better. Weather, tires, and track conditions play a huge role. So what I'm saying is, check your raceway DA. I thought i was having trouble launching the car. I was hitting 13.1 @ 110mph and my DA was over 2600 ft above sea level. With corrected times, I am at 12.7 @ 114 mph.

What are you 60' times? Makes a big difference to your 1/4 mile times. Also, with street tires (non-drag radials/slicks), I would avoid the water box and not do a burnout. Just spin your tires a lit bit to clean off rocks, etc but a full burnout will just make the tires greasy and decrease traction.

Don't forget to check your density altitude. I have never ran in the 12's at my home track without spray. I have PPE Headers, ISS Forged Exhaust and Takeda intake, my best is 13.03 @ 109mph. It is because of where my home track is, I consistently run anywhere between 3500-4500ft above sea level. This will kill your times and your speed. I believe my DA time would of been a 12.56 or something less than that if I was at sea level.

Check it out here:

Select your track, date and time, and it will tell you your density altitude, then put your time and trap speed in and it will tell you what you should have ran at perfect track conditions...

Do not power launch, do not do a burn out with Street tires. Get rid of the after market intake and of the run flats if you can. Launch from idle with traction control completely off (long press), and shift after kissing the limiter in manual.

2011 ISF here, 100% stock when ran the 1/4 drags the last time. Track was Autoclub Speedway, so elevation should not have been a factor. Times were 13.2 @ 107, 13.4 @ 106, 13.4 @ 107.

Manual shift + sport mode, shifted before redline at the shift beep, just gassed and go, didn't brake torque for launches.

The manufacturer specs are around there, I think it said 13.0 for quarter mile on lexus' website, and those are in ideal conditions I would assume.

So for a "normal" driver on a stock ISF, one who doesn't deflate their tires or run slicks, have only 1 gallon in the tank, doesn't brake torque launches, shifts accordingly to the shift beeps, 13's at sea level are normal from my experience.
