What other performance cars did you drive/ride in 2015?
It's always fun to experience other performance cars, especially in the 600 to 700 horsepower range.
Earlier this year I got to ride and drive the McLaren P4-12 which belonged to the buyer who purchased my Condo in California. From what he said, his Porsche GT2 just didn't "entertain" him anymore, so he sold it in favor of the McLaren.
The car felt like a go-kart that has been stuffed with a TwinTurbo V8.....I never drove something that revved to 8000 so damn fast (not even an M3 E90 revved that fast to redline), a ballistic missile with 4 wheels. Everything is carbon fiber here and carbon fiber there. You sit pretty low to the ground.
Another rocket-ship I got to experience first hand yesterday (08/29/2015) was the 2015 Corvette Z06 with the 7 speed manual. Our Team was assisting the owner in testing some electronics, so at the end we each got to go on joy rides. Are you ready? 90 MPH in 2nd gear! 120 MPH in 3rd gear......mind you, there are 7 speeds to play with, so that leaves you with 4 more gears. It all happens so fast.
The Z06 corners just as good as it can go, as I witnessed.
The seats are very comfortable, and the gauge cluster/HUD provides you with everything you need. Good driving visibility and that TwinScrew supercharger sound. Instant torque, just brutal power....maybe it's really a time machine? LOL , time and space are compressed into some un-imaginable levels, and the only things that are on my mind in those split seconds are (1) this is some crazy performance numbers, (2) I hope I make it home in one piece.
We then went inside his house (it's just as mind blowing as his car) and talked about car stuff while eating lunch.
Personally, I never thought I'd get to experience these cars, maybe my luck streak will continue, it would be really cool to experience the Koenigsegg 1.
Would like to know what cars you guys have experienced.
