I did my first track day a couple weeks ago at Summit Point, WV (main circuit). I went with a friend of mine that used to take his IS-350, but recently got an IS-F just like mine
Wow, what a blast. I figured I'd only do it once to see what it was like, but I had such a good time, I must do it again.
I definitely drove with caution the 1st session, but I improved & got much faster by the 4th session. My instructor scored me all 5s (1-5 rating) for the last session which is the first step toward driving group 2 (solo).
During the last session, I even reeled in & passed a 911 turbo (996). That was gratifying since I'm sure that car would tear up the IS-F on a track with a good driver.
Welcome to the crew buddy !! As you discovered its gratifying and highly addictive. Tires and brakes are easy to replace. Its track time !!!!!! I keep saying I might have to wait a 3-4 months of the AZ Summer to hit the track again, but may do one soon because I really want to hear what the Joe Z exhaust sounds like on the track.
I'll be doing HPDE at Summit Point on 6/7 June. You should come back out and we'll make it a group ISF thing.
I do want to hit the track again this summer, but won't be able to do it this weekend.. In fact, I should probably hold off on the IS-F spending for a bit.. In the last month or so, I've purchased new brake pads (Project Mu), tires/alignment (Michelin PSS), Figs lower control arm bushings, and window tint. Yikes!

Welcome to the club man, I ran that track (Shenandoah circuit) in my old MR2 race car, def one of my favorite tracks. I will always remember going through the banked turn and getting sidways and thinking, "oh **** I'm not supposed to go sideways in a banked turn" it all worked out though. If my F, EVER stops going to the shop maybe I can hit the track. I'm starting to feel like I bought a Audi.
Chuckwalla Valley Raceway this weekend !!! AMP next weekend !!! AND WHP main track 2 weeks after that. SO ISFing excited !!! Counting the days. Chuckwalla seems to be getting popular with many magazines and even Lexus has tested their GSF there. Excited to see what lap times I can pull
