Default What Radar detector are you using

Hey Guys, so I'm in search of a radar detector , thinking of getting a passport but the choices are overwhelming.. Just wondering what everyone else out there is using. I'm wondering if I should get a mirror mount setup or a installed unit. Also, there's so many options!!

I have a QI45 with laser shifter pack. Its the older version of the escort 8500ci and it has saved my butt more times than I can count!

I debated for the Passport 9500ix vs Valentine One for a couple of years, then three years ago got the Passport 9500ix, loved it, saved me numerous times, then I got the Passport Max which is the 9500ix on steroids. Roadtrip from Los Angeles to San Francisco = ~1000 miles round trip, 100-120 mph= no tickets

I've had Escort detectors for over 15 years. They have a trade in/upgrade program allowing me to work up to my current 8500 x50 (which is no longer state of the art) and it still performs very well. If I were a road warrior buying a new detector, I'd get an Escort/Passport model. BTW, in my opinion cruise control, radar detector and dash cam have made me more aware of my driving habits. I'm a safer driver and ticket free for over 30 years.

Bel RX-65 have had it for 10 years and it's paid for itself 100 fold! I would never drive without a good quality radar detector after all these years, if I am in a car without one I feel naked because I know there are radar signatures everywhere and without a way to tell where they are you are literally driving blind.

I've had my Escort 9500 IX for several years, it's saved me from speeding tickets so many times I've lost count.

Valentine One for 10 years, and it's been through three cars. Any of the aforementioned detectors are well worth the investment IMO.

Ive had the 9500IX, MAx and now Max2, given the choice I would still go back to the 9500IX with out a second choice.

I have my max 2 paired with a Laser Interceptors laser jammer as well.

Passport Max. Seems to get the job done and has a pretty long range.

Currently have the escort 9500ix. The new top dog in escort lineup is the passport max and that's what I would get if I were to upgrade

Hows the gas mileage with that average speed? lol

I use a Belltronics detector, the one below the Sti model. I only use it in the states as its illegal here, and it did save my *** lots of times especially in Michigan, cops hide literally in the bushes between the divided hwy! wtf!

I've got the Passport 9500ix. It saves my *** from the beach cops and their speed traps in the 25 and 30 mph zones all around my neighborhood.

V1 but its absolutely useless around town. It does come in handy for the occasional road trip though.
