Luckily it's being done under the CPO warranty. They're replacing it with a new one.

I replaced mine after jm lexus wanted to charge me 16k to replace wiring harnes and all types of other **** that had nothing to do with the touchscreen. (they lost my business after that)

I ended up doing it myself with a ebay touchscreen. I tried the digitizer pen fix but that didnty work. So I replaced the entire screen. Still works now, but the colors bleed. Not appealing to the eyes, but it works.

Im now in the process of adding a kenwood touch screen in place of the cd changer.

should be simple if u taken your dash out before. this only happens to cars that are parked outside in very cold temps and very hot temps. no way around it besides replacing the digitizer or using the circuit pen.

Nice work, but I don't think it can be done with the ML system.
Edit: I see that the CD section is removable.

I hear ya. I completely gutted the system in my Bimmer. Thought about doing the same in the F.
