Hi.

So my 2008 IS F touch screen crapped out, google search revealed common flaw with the digitizer connections. I saw a youtube fix it video that I don't want to tackle myself, but would rather someone with experience attempt.

Any of you know a lexus familiar shop in/near rockland county NY?

I'll PM you. I'm in the roc....I know another silver ISF who has all the connections here.

 

It is really easy. I would suggest doing it yourself. It appears intimidating at first, but it is like 15 bucks in parts. You just need to bridge the connections with a silver pen and wait a few hours, then put the screen back in and test. Let me know if you have any questions.

I buy the whole touch screen replacement cost like 200 just make sure its legit as I see some people been ripped off. Taking the navi out is pretty simple but if your afraid to do it I suggest getting a professional or someone with experience. I'm sure VJ knows someone who can help. I never done it myself yet but I have open up the dash before to install something else.
