hi, does anyone know if this part:

53440B 6896102040

is like the the threaded rubber stopper thing that the hood rests on when its closed? there are 2. one by each headlight. it kinda looks like a rubber cylindrical accordian for lack of a better description.

No, it doesn't look like that is the part number for what you want. Try 90541-15037.

The part you have listed is the ball end of the hood strut mounting system.

i couldn't find the part you are referring to, or at least i couldn't find a diagram to go with it i meant.

 

My resource says that part is not for the IS-F. Other Scion, Toyota, and Lexus, but not the F. Not sure what the difference is.
