Default ECU & Track

I'm taking my F to willow springs this weekend and I was wondering if it makes sense to reset the ECU before I run. If I understand correctly, the ECU learns driving habits, so if it's learned 'daily driving' - it would make sense to me to reset it to learn 'track driving'. Or is my understanding completely wrong, which wouldn't surprise me

It takes driving for quite some miles before the ECU fully corrects for driving habits (with my boosted is250, I feel like it takes a couple hundred miles). Resetting it right before your track day wont have much effect, unless your normal driving habits are more conservative than a "fresh" ecu. This is my take on it all at least.

just have it in sport and shift, manually. you'll be getting all the car has to offer....

Reseting the ECU will not get you any more power or present you any more benefits. The car needs an added variable for the ECU to correct (i.e. race gas, exhaust, headers, etc).

you'll be in WOT (wide open throttle) for the most part, so it doesn't really matter.. ECU learns habits in auto mode and partial throttle. Good luck at Streets, 1'30 CW or CCW or less is a good time for new guys. (thats the time I got in a civic on my first outing)

haha I might be there too !!! Waiting on word from a close friend. I hope your brakes are up to it. The course is extremely fast. Some turns are taken at 70 mph and you will be able to get the car up to about 130-140 on the straights
