Driver side seat Noise
I have an issue with adjusting the driver seat...when either moving forward or back a loud annoying sound like its struggling with not oil/grease straining noise when adjusting the switch. the noise is coming from the rails when the seat moves. I aint FAT, Im 160lbs 5'7 so is this some kind of recall, you think I would have to pay if the Lexus dealership fixes it.....lmk thanks guys

Thats exactly what that noise is. I noticed mind started to do this once the weather started heating up...Good thing is that a can of WD40 will fix it in a jiffy..Just move the seat forward and back while spraying what looks to be a big screw that turns when you move it..Couple sprays and its back quiet

I was going to say, it just sounds like it might need some white lithium grease or just some simple lube. The stuff dries out and debris under seat can create issues too

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but this is exactly correct. This why I have a spray can of white lithium grease. So does the dealership tech, and the tech also knows WD-40 is not a lubricant. It's a Water Displacer (WD) and prevents corrosion, but it doesn't lubricate worth a crap.

This is true. However, according to their website it is a special blend of lubricants. Just saying.

I do agree on the lithium grease being the way to go.

Yeah, I know what they say, but it is an epic fail on a bicycle chain for a competitive cyclist. I learned all about it way back in 1976 when I thought I was going to be a pro and couldn't keep a chain on my bike with WD-40. Dri-Slide does what WD only dreams about. It made me a big believer in MoS2.
