You can always take it to an auto upholstery shop and let them look at it. I did this with my QX4 when it had a noise in the passenger seat.

Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. Mine had this all the time when I bought it new and the dealer fixed it. I believe there is a TSIB out for it as well. They knew about it when I brought it in or at least acted like they did.

Your issue:

Call your SA in advance of the warranty running out explain your predicament and that you belive it to be related to the TSIB. I am sure he/she will give you some time to get to the dealership and still cover it - it's minor enough.

ok i finally got a chance and brought it in and the guy told me that noise and rattle only cover for the first 12montsh or 12k miles. and even show me that in the book. i didnt argue with him bc i brought it in 3 days after the warranty went out. but i did called in and got an appointment about the problem b4 the warranty expire. it was my fault to bring it in late but what made me upset is that lexus only cover rattle and noise for 12mon 12k miles?

Not that I know of - I have had mine in for rattles many times while the original warranty was active. No problems at all. Try a different dealer.

That's to bad, sorry to hear that. Sounds like an SA that does not know the meaning of customer service and clearly looking for a loop hole to avoid having to make a warranty repair. There is a TSIB out for the problem which as long as you are under your basic warranty Lexus should address the problem and clearly considering you called in prior to the warranty running out he/she should have stepped to the plate. I would deal with another SA in the future or go to another dealer, but before giving up entirely I would ask to speak to the Service Manager.

I wouldn't give up that easily. Call Lexus Customer Service and tell them your story

As long as you file the complain with the dealer before your warranty is out, you should be cover.
