you guys see the f commerical thats been on air recently? pretty cool, although they have the LFA in there which is wierd since its out of production, they might as well put the is-f in there too in that case. just wondering what peeps thought about it.

lame that they put the f-sport cars in the tv spots, ah well, ha.

anyways, i seen an rc-f billboard up too now on the way to work, and a sponsored post for the rc-f on the top of jalopnik too. guess they are really trying to promote the F branding.

I think there are still LFAs for sale though, so they are still available. Also, the LFA is being used to drive sales for the f sports. I dont like that the real Fs are being used with F sports though. It brings more public confusion to "F"

 

F-Sport line has been great for their business but it def has made it where 90% of people think an IS-F is just a F-Sport model. At least Mercedes with the AMG line never had an AMG-Sport line of wannabe cars. Granted Mercedes has AMG pedigree for a lot longer than Lexus F pedigree so they don't need to try and boost AMG brand. If there was no F-Sport line then IS-F would be such a standout car. I think with them really hyping the RC-F they are trying to show new buyers how great the F line is.

 

I always thought Merc did have AMG variants available...like when you see an S500 AMG. Figured the true S-class AMG was the S63

 

I agree the ISF should of been there also. The F-sport has no business being branded as the true F models. Cool commercial anyway

 

Cant believe they put the 350 F sport in and not a 2014 ISF.

 

Not really surprising the ISF is not in thr commercial. Lexus wants band new models to show off not a body style that came out in 2006. And the IS-F was never a huge seller that drove people to Lexus dealerships.

 

Believe me: car folks know the difference.

 

Nor will sales be through the roof for the RC-F...nor is it the intention. It is met to set the bar.
