Default Setting off alarms

Twice this week while leaving for work I set off my neighbors car alarm. I have a Joe-Z exhaust and park my car in my garage. My neighbor parks his truck on the street which is about 50-60 yards away. I don't think my exhaust is that loud and this just started happening. However, mind you I leave for work at 04:30ish.

Anyone else have a problem setting off car alarms? Could it be the cooler air making the exhaust note just a tad louder? My wife asked a few days ago if I did anything to the car because it seems a littler louder.

I guess headers are not an option now...

I open garage, turn on car, immediately put in reverse and back out once the rear view camera is ready. I kinda feel bad, well, not really, the *******s next to me have a horribly loud Harley.

I think the car sounds amazing on cold start, esp the secondary cat/straight pipe setup. It is LOUD. My neighbors don't give me a hard time about it, it probably does bother them though. I've definitely set off a few alarms driving through narrow streets in NYC.

The start-up rev alone has some volume to it, especially in a garage. But even at gas stations I've turned heads. If I have to leave the house real early I usually go into Reverse as soon as possible since that brings the revs down from the cold-start high-idle. It's certainly more courteous.

Lol yeah it's even louder with headers. I leave my house at 430 sometimes for a double shift, my Meistetschaft and Sikky combo is so awesomely loud that I feel bad for my neighbor.

i've got an exhaust cutoff for these types of situations. i leave my house at 6am, not as early as some of you guys, but my cutoff is closed and the exhaust note isn't AS loud. when the car's slightly warmer and i'm already on the road...cutoff OPEN! WEEEEEEEEEE

Get something to plug the exhaust lol I'm sure for that 1-2mins ur leaving it won't effect the engine but don't hold me to it lol my buddy's scooter has basically a race exhaust and they come with a plug like motorcycles to keep water from going in while parked and he just sticks that in there before pulling down the block

I really don't think my neighbors mind. One is really into muscle cars and one has a modded 335 that revs at me sometimes. He's older so i thought that was surprising..

My neighbor works on his 240sx all the time sitting there revving it for no reason. I have no pitty when I take off on my bike - 1900cc with a really freakin loud exhaust - or the ISF

I might look into a stock setup with a cutout or the new PPE exhaust when it is available.

I am assuming the alarms that go off from our exhaust are after market because our sequoia has the factory alarm and I have never problem.
