was always a little disappointed w/ the sound of my borla catback. i know some of the members had removed the resonator but no one had yet to upload a vid. so, here it is. not the prettiest hack job but damn, it finally sounds the way it should. completely happy w/ the results. if you take the regular sound levels of the original system, crank that up about 30% more and that's what the end result sounds like. yes, there is quite a bit more drone but i'm ok w/ it. the first vid is just after the install of the straight pipes. the second is after i had driven home, about 40 mins on the freeway, driven hard and warmed up. please excuse the really bad unfocused action.

Sounds good. I felt the same way when I put the Borla on. After about a week I ended up just pulling the mufflers off lol

Just get some headers and you will like the sound. I have PPE and Borla and its the perfect set up for me.

exactly! haha that's what i wanted and i'm totally happy now. also, just cost me $80 and about 45 mins on a saturday morning. do it!

 

I kept the resonators and just pulled the mufflers. The pipes just dump off to the sides now, played with them a bit so that they face down and not directly on the back bumper. Here's a quick clip of me leaving my parents house lol.... Sorry iphone clip
