Default Help on Volk wheels

Hello all.
I have been reading the forums for some time now. I have done tons of research 4+ hours and tried using the wheel chart a member created... I guess I'm just dumb but don't understand any of this.

I have decided on the Volk Racing G25.

I plan to run 19x8.5 (Front)
And 19x9.5 (Rear)

The offsets that are available are:
19x8.5 (Front) 35mm or 45mm
19x9.5 (Rear) 25mm,35mm,45mm

I plan to track my car maybe once or twice a year. Already have Intake/Headers/Exhaust. What are the best offsets and tire size to use.

Sorry this is another Wheel thread... I just couldn't find anyone running 35mm front or 45mm rear.

I Plan to drop on KWV3's and do not want any rubbing...

My thoughts are 35mm front running 235/245/255
Rear 45mm 255/265/275

Will this work? If you would recommend a different offset or tire size please let me know!

Thanks,
Mike

Just to give you an idea........I am not the perfect set up or a rim authority

Volk VR G2 / 19"

I'm running 19 x 8.5 on the front with +45 using 245/30/19
and 19 x 9.5 on the rear with +45 using 275/35/19

I had to add a 15mm spacer on the front to push the rim out, so I think that a +35 on the front will fit much better than my +45 which is way too conservative..IMO

..but I think the back is perfect for me

They work well for a few track days a year, but I remove the spacers - I also run the rays valves and use a TPMS pressure vessel to fool the system

I agree with +35 front, +45 rear. I have 19x9.5 +30 front and 19x10.5 +30 rear and the rears have been the biggest pain in my @$$ to fit correctly. I've trimmed my fenders, pulled them, and bought the camber kit to camber them in 1.5 degrees and I still rub sometimes. Go with the +45 in the rear and save yourself the headache and money. If I could go back in time, I would have done that.

I should add that I have had absolutely near perfect tire wear as well.

IMO +35 front and +45 rear isn't all that aggressive. I'm currently running Volk Gt-C's in 19x8.5 +39 front and 19x9.5 +37 in the rear, with stock tire sizes. The front, I think, needs about 7-9mm as there is a lot of space up front. The rears are just inside the fender in the rear. At stock height I never had problems in the rear, but with a recent drop on BC coilovers, I've experienced some rubbing in the rear, though admittedly, I'm on the lower side of the spectrum. Though I'm on Hankook v12's and the sidewall stands fairly upright. A tire like Falken, which is supposedly more rounded, should fit better. A roll or shave with a drop is probably necessary if you want to avoid any rubbing. I personally like the fitment in the back, I think it's near perfect without requiring a whole lot of work, or none at all if you're stock.

+35 front 245/35 and +45 rear 275/30 and you should be good with no rubbing issues.

When I ordered the G25 wheels in the same size, I was told to go with +35 on the front to properly clear the calipers. For the same reason, you're also limited on the concavity. For the rears, I went with +42.

On the tire side, I went with 235 front and 265 for the rears, which won't produce any issues. I'm not sure what your goals are, but I wasn't going too extreme with my selection.

If you run the above specs at stock height you won't rub. If you slam the car with those coilovers, at some point your rears may rub, but since you plan on getting coilovers, you can adjust the height so that it doesn't rub, or you can do a fender roll in the rear to eliminate any rubbing and go as low as you want.

SSR has some nice new designs

I decided against the G25 as I couldn't fall in love with them
