Smile Spot The Difference

So done my first mod (well actually second mod, first mod was deleting the damn seat belt warning noise).

Very nice! That was the first mod I did on my F as well, so I tend to notice it right away. I won't spoil the trivia for anyone yet to come into your thread

I pretty much hate anything that's shiny or blingy.

All I've got now is the front grill surround and rear emblems which I've already ordered.

The only problem I'm having now is with getting some blacked out exhaust tips and then I'll be done

I want to do it as well using plastic dip..but the taping and prep-work will take so much time before actually doing spraying.

Lol digger beat me to it regarding the camels......deers run amok by where I live......is that the case with camels in the Middle East?

I didn't use plastic dip, I used the blackout tape from here --> http://www.outmotoring.com/_search.p...121279&x=0&y=0

There's a thread floating around on this subject, that's where I found the link which a few members have already installed.

TBH I thought this was going to be hard, but it turned out pretty easy. Just take your time and you should be ok. If you screw up it's ok just take it off and start a new tape.

Honestly I was surprised how easy it was, I took my car to a detail shop to do it for me and the guy told me it'll be too hard to do , so I accepted the challenge and it turns out it's actually pi$$ easy to do.

Haha not really, but in this area yeah there's a few of them.

Its worse when you're driving and you have to keep a really good look out, if you crash into a camel you're pretty much dead.

I did plastidip on my 335, it was easy and turned out great and was looking fine for a year before I sold it. But you are right, taping and covering paint is def the biggest time consumer.

You can plastidip or you can just use vinyl. On my friends e36 and e30 I shadow lined his car for him using satin black vinyl, much easier in my opinion.

looks clean i like the idea of tape vs paint and plasti dip. You can do this for cheap and easy as you say then down the road when you get rid of the car if the next buyer likes stock then heck just pull the tape off cant beat that

The outmotoring tape is VERY easy to install and is the perfect width. Just buy two rolls just in case
