Just curious... Why select a track wheel in 18" that may be as heavy as the stock 19" BBS wheels? If you go down in size, might as well go down in weight too, right?
cause theres a set on the classified cheap and i want 18s for cheaper r comp tires, im not worried about a 2 or 3 lbs as i just do club events and am not doing it competitively.
Thinking either the Toyo proxy 888 or RA1 R-compounds. They perform very well and dont really break the bank. 275/35/18
oh nice. i haven't had experience with either but my buddy does have the toyo888 in the same size on his 18" te37 . he has 550whp on his TT 350z and it ran a 11.1 in the quarter mile. he said they are amazing for the first 800 miles. no wheel spin at all with all rpm launches.

there was a guy in the middle east on here running a similiar sized wheel (enkie PF01's IIRC) and had Toyo proxy 888's and he had rubbing issues as that tire runs wider than others.... I would be careful about that tire.... If you are thinking of the RA1's you should think about the Nitto NT01's which are are basically the updated version of that tire with wider tread pattern and stiffer sidewalls IIRC... that's what I'm running at the track and have loved them.
