Default Problem please helpppp (solved - cracked fuse)

hi my names ryan and i have a 2008 is-f. im new here and i am currently looking for some help with a problem. my car will not rev about 1500 rpms and the hazard exclimation mark symbol is blinking on my dash saying check vsc! i had a bad battery and thought with the little reasearch i have done that might be the problem but i put a new one in and the problem is still there. i own a scan tool so i scanned the cel and came up with code p2118 , it wasnt in my book of answers so thats why im here, all i can come up with is it has to be something with the throttle sensor or something. please help ive tryed pulling fuses and resetting the ecm but still no luck. i reset the cel with my little tool but it comes right back on as soon as its started. please help guys

Maybe your control motor has gone bad. If it's throwing p2118, you need to take it into the dealer for further inspection. That's your safest bet.

you say your car is throwing a CEL, that would be the first thing i check

dont see how ur issue is a fuse related problem

Just curious. What did you do to the car just before the problem?

Or did you just get in one day and have this issue?

Just for future reference and time saver if this was to happen to someone else, could you tell us which fuse was blown that caused this specific CEL? Thanks.

I have the same code cuz I had a bad battery & my bro jumped started the car the wrong way ! Replaced the battery, but the P2118 is still there.

CEL on, VSC & trac control on as well. The car is on limp mode & look like it's starting on 2nd gear on Drive.

Can OP shares which fuse was cracked (and which box)? before I bring the car at the dealership on Tuesday! Thx

I fixed the blown fuse & CEL # P2118 is gone.

For future reference, our ETCS (throttle) fuse (#6) is located in the fuse box (#B) in the engine bay near the driver headlight (hidden under the plastic cover-panel). It's a 10A fuse. --> Look at the pic attached below.

Look under the fuse cover, it tells u exactly which fuse is the ETCS.. The good thing is Lexus even put spare fuse (# 1-2-3) in that same box.

I am having the same problem, I am pretty sure it is because my boy jumped my car wrong... DONT TRY AND JUMP A CAR DRUNK. But these are the codes that came up when I took into the shop.. They said that it is a fuse and they cant order the fuse so I would have to take it to the Lexus dealership. Can I order the fuse and install it my self? and if so where can I order it from.

I bought a whole box of them in various sizes for $20 online. They aren't common fuses, but they're not impossible to find either.

I got the fuses at both Autozone and Advanced if you have those around. I'm sure NAPA and O'reilly Auto Parts. If you don't have any of those around you for the love of god, move...
