Default Saggy Butt

There have been no accidents on this rear bumper that I know of I got the car with 5,000 on it but regardless the bumper is for sure sagging. Does anyone else have this issue? Had anyone had this fixed already (how)? Any ideas on how to fix and where to get it done would be greatly appreciated! It's on both sides of the bumper and having a black car for sure doesn't help anything

I also have the same issue! I tried pushing it back up as it looks like there are tabs that hold them in place but it just drops back down. It's annoying and there has to be a way to fix it.

This used to happen to my E46 M3 too. It is probably an aging/sagging clip somewhere.

This sounds bad but I'm glad I'm not the only one . Any forum members have one of those schematics that shows where the clips are? Maybe from there we can figure something out...There is a fix for this out there we just need to find it!

You take it to your local boby shop.
$60-$100 to fix.

I prefer body shops which do lots of insurance claims.
They have so much paperwork for every job they do, they love when you just pay them directly.

Good luck. ......... that was easy

There is a plastic strip that runs along both sides that the bumper clips into that is supposed to hold it flush and tight. I had this same problem after I put the Toms rear and ISS exhaust on because it was pulling the bumper cover away from these clips.

I had to solve mine with additional clamps on both sides the exhaust so it wasn't pushing the TOMs diffuser down and applying pressure to those points on the bumper cover.

If you don't have any aftermarket stuff on the car it may have just become dislodged (during driving) and need to be pushed back into place or the plastic snaps may have become worn/damaged and are no longer holding securely.

It's easy to pull off and see where your problem is and the parts are cheap to fix yourself unless you discover that the bumper cover tabs themselves have been worn to the point that they no longer hold. Then you'd have to replace the cover and factor in painting to get it back to OEM or figure out another way or apply upward pressure to close the gap again. Give it a shot, GL.
