Default Spacers

Hi guys,

I was wondering what would the spacer size to get my 2012 rims to be flush with fender? I plan to lower the car with zero finger gap.

Suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

I went 15mm all around with Swift Springs on my 2011 and looks great with a bit of room to spare. Throwing 275 Michelin Pilot Super Sports on Monday and pretty sure they'll clear. Your wheel is a 1/2" wider, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I used H&R spacers and have hit the governor on the car flawlessly. Many people here will advise against them, but I've never had ANY issues with spacers.

What are you going to run on the fronts? 245s?
Please come back to verify the fitment and confirm "No rub" with spacers and wide tires.
Photos would be apritiated.
Thank you in advance.

Yes I WILL be running 245's in the front, but I'm not throwing out my good 225's just yet. And yes, I know that that'll increase under stee keeping the fronts stock. But I don't track so I don't care.

the 2IS requires 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers, and with the IS-F being a little less aggressive, I would imagine a 15mm front and 20mm rear would be flush for an IS=F

So 15mm and 20mm plus longer studs? I was planning on getting the H&R, where can I get the longer studs?

That looks really scary, but based on the first few pages its because of the built in studs on the spacer? With H&R and longer studs will that risk be minimized?

Risk is minimized with the stud ON the spacer not on changed on the car. I've been running 15mm spacers on all my cars for years.. on the track and off without any problems. My friend changed out his studs on his car and it snapped on him one day.

Take my advice, stick to bolted on spacers.

Man..... I have been reading about one negative incident, every single time someone asks about spacers!

Know what you are doing...
Buy quality parts.....
Install them properly....
.....and assume the risk!

I use spacers on the street and remove them for track days.

I don't have to do this, it just gives me piece of mind. No one installs the spacers but me, I do not rely on the ability of others to screw things up.

So let me get this straight. What you're saying is...

A spacer with attached studs, which is bolted ONTO the hub with (IMO) extremely small bolts, is SAFER than having extended studs actually being a part of the hub? How does that even make sense? If anything both ways are equally safe. But from personal experience I believe the latter is much more safe.

I've run H&R Trak+ spacers on my previous two cars with new extended studs installed and never had a problem. I will probably be doing this with my F this summer.
