Awesome post. I never heard this noise in my 2009 IS350 (same mirror I think) but last night driving my 08' home I heard this weird buzzing noise on the freeway. Sounded a lot like the dash, glovebox, maybe even the center vent.. MIRROR. I didn't hear the noise this morning but this weekend I may take my mirror down and perform this mod. Rattles and noise drive me ballistic!
