Default Fuel tank issues.

I just wanted to let you all know I'm having my car serviced for a fuel tank issue. It wouldn't let put more than say 50-75 cents of fuel in at each pull of the handle. Lexus is saying they haven't seen this before, we are waiting on a factory rep to come and diagnose. This part is frustrating, but since they are having to replace the entire fuel tank, it's what I have to wait on. I haven't received any more info and I'm waiting to hear about the reps visit.

I presume that you have tried different stations to determine if it is the tank or the pumping equipment?

I'm guessing it's the ORVR, did they say they are changing only the tank?

I've had this same problem! However it only happens at 2 pumps at a certain gas station. It's very annoying. If you only hold the handle down halfway it won't stop on you, it just takes longer to fill.

They think it's the orvr, they are replacing the tank. Yes, I tried 7 different gas stations. Yes if you hold half way it helps, but what a pain!

Thanks for the jokes. I'll really be smiling when I'm back in my car. These hybrids are lame.

Pull out the nozzle so its not all the way in the tank. Then fill.

Lexus gave me a CT200h hybrid for almost a week while my transmission and other things were getting done. I loved it the few days that I drove it. Had some meetings and things to attend to so I clocked roughly 600 miles on it and only paid $65 to fill it up twice. Regular 87 gas too! I averaged about 47mpg per tank.
