Default Ethanol blended fuel

What are everyone's thoughts on running 10% ethanol blend fuel?

I run 10% Ethanol mixed with premium fuel to boost up the octane and its great.

Has anyone had issues with the fuel lines and rubbers etc corroding?
That is my biggest concern.

I was under the impression that premium fuel 94 RON in Australia did not have any Ethanol in it?
I know a lot of people that wont touch it in Australia bc it's assumed that ethanol blends foul up components (example mercedes gas tanks)
So are you doing 1/2 a tank of 89 and 1/2 tank of 94 RON?

There are a fair number of ppl here doing E85 conversions but yes you have to upgrade lines, injectors, and fuel pumps. Tank should be fine. Ethanol is like cheap race gas and great for boosted cars.

We have an option of ethanol or non ethanol.
The fuel itself is 100RON, but actually 98RON mixed with 10% ethanol.

(note our RON system is different to the US MON system)

I want to know if anyone has had any problems running an ethanol blend, or will I have to start changing fuel lines etc.

Well if you are running gasoline with 10% ethanol , You should be fine with stock lines it won't harm anything.

If you are going full time E85 , i would replace atleast the lines with SS lines or get the teflon lines if you can afford them.

I run E85 at all time, every day 9k miles with no issues! I am running some SS braided lines, I like the Teflon lines but the fittings are too exepnsive . Everytime to take the fitting of the line , you must replace the gold collar and you can't just buy that collar you must get fitting.

I think people have corrosion issues when you have E85 sitting inside the tank for a long period of time , remember is attracts water , so you have water in your tank, lines, injectors, rail.

that's just what i think, I love the E85 but if you gonna daily drive your car it's not cost efficient lol i spend about $400 /per it's too exepnsive.

I’ve heard good things about BG. We had their stuff at my job but I never got around to trying it.
